The aromas are fairly basic with some lightly roasted malt and very faint citrus hops. The tastes are also not very interesting again with some lightly roasted malt and maybe a touch of hops and hint of citrus fruit. Very light body and not very complex.
Easily the least exciting and poorest offering from Rogue I have ever sampled.

The scoring for this fellow seems to be a little harsh as far as I can see. The mouthfeel is a bit thin for me and the scents could be more striking but otherwise this is a nice American pale ale. Some good, crackery flavors are in there with a nice assertive, though not overly assertive hop character. Looks lovely in the glass leaving rings of lace after drinking down the clear amber body.
Perhaps people were expecting too much from Rogue. Don't expect a world beater here but if you're in the mood for a good APA there shouldn't be any serious complaints.

Well, the day finally came when I wasn't blown away buy a rogue beer.
Pours out a light golden color with an average white head that sticks a little bit to the walls of the glass. The smell is pretty basic: lightly roasted malt, and hops. The taste is also isn't very interesting: again, lightly roasted malt, maybe a touch of hops and hint of citrus fruit. Very light body and not very complex.
It's not that every Rogue beer has blown me away, but I've always been very impressed with everything they make...this one just got swept under the rug, in my book.

Pours a clouded gold with a decent white head. Nose is kind of apple juice/sweet like. Bready tones as well. Flavor is okay. Kind of a weird acidic bite to it. Seems a bit metallic too. Something just doesn't seem right. Feel is pretty decent. The carbonation definitely bites, but it isn't enough to save this one. The metallic and "dirty" tones here just make it too far gone from being decent. Pass.

pours a desirable color of a decent pale ale. not much sticking to the glass nor to the tongue. low hop level and not a beer I would recommend for an IPA fan. loses your attention after the first couple of sips. dry chalky feeling to finish does not put this in my purchase again bucket of Rogue's special brews.

Appearance: cloudy yellowish orange in color with a one finger head that breaks part quickly. Some light lacing develops.
Smell: the aroma of ripe fruit and orange citrus sweetness comes off the glass easily.
Taste: orange slices, mild malt levels, and a frut sweetness is balanced with a mild bitterness level. There seems to be a touch of wheat flavors in the background here too.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lightly crisp and very dry throughout. Bits of chaulkiness comes through at the finish. Aftertaste is brief.
Drinkability: decent pale ale here, but the dryness and chaulky finish gets a bit tiring on the tongue.

A: Poured a clear, bright orange with a thin, frothy dull white capping that recessed to a micro-bubbly layering. Visible carbonation was medium.
S: Fresh oranges first appeared on the nose accompanied by light fresh citrus notes.
F: Tart, citric oranges. Theres a noticable carbonation bite detected in the middle of the palate. A light dry spicy hopping and orange peel against a very clean malting. The flavor is simple, clean, and finished crisp.
M: Light, oily, with some dry oranges
D: Decent drikability but wont excite you. Sorry to say i probably wont re-visit this beer, not because it was bad, but simply because it was boringly average in most aspects.
