Poured into a snifter on 6/23/09
A - Medium amber color. Poured a 2 finger head with modest retention. Patchy yet solid lacing.
S - Fresh aroma of spicy amarillo hops & biscuity malt. Very smooth nose.
T - The spicy hop bite came across as more subdued than I would expect, considering the style. Biscuity malt is prevalent with a hint of nougat.
M - Reasonable carbonation. Some slickness on the tongue.
D - Oddly well-balanced despite the assertive malt characteristics. I suppose I could have had an old bottle. I found the beer enjoyable & will certainly drink it every now & then.
