I really enjoyed the Yellow Snow but these high hopped beers are not high in personal drinkability for me - but I'll definitely try this again. It's at the mid range for the high hops category.
While the tone of yellow is more like that of somebody who is a little on the dehydrated side, this beer has an attractive orange murkiness with a thick dense head. It recedes slowly as expected for a highly hopped ale and leaves some nice lacing.
The aroma is what you expect for an AIPA with complex spicy sweet hops-o-plenty with tonnes of fruit (orange/lemon/grapefruit citrus and mango-like tropicals) and floral characters. Very nice and not overpowering.
The mouthfeel is creamy and very smooth. The taste is what you expect from the aroma - GOOD OL' HOPS. Semi-sweet start and finishes dry with the hopped grapefruit and orange citrus bitterness at a medium level. Just a tiny touch of courseness.
