A- murky golden body (cant bee seen through except for shadows in light) with a nice soft white head that laces the glass thickly. the color (possibly due to the ridiculously awesome amount of sediment) is different than most ipas and is just plain awesome.
S- grapefruit and hop bitterness.
T- tastes like it smells- lots of hop bitterness that tastes of grapefruit both up front and in the finish. if you don't like grapefruit stay away. However, if you like citrusy hops and bitter as hell beer then this is a winner.
M- perhaps a little over-carbonated. medium bodied. nothing special here, but doesn't bring down the greatness of the beer (except as it is mathematically rated).
D- It is very drinkable, but there are many beers that drink better as far as a continual sipping action is concerned. After about two bombers I wouldn't want another one, but, just like the mouthfeel, this only brings down the beer mathematically, and doesn't touch how enjoyable it is.
admittedly, Rogue is up and down with their beers, and they go from really great to really terrible. fortunately, this beer is of the former category, and is highly underrated. it should have an A- at lowest. Highly recommended.
