A - glowing orange, slight haze, frothy white head, creamy, dense, thick sheets of lace
S - fresh grapefruit, sweet moreso than bitter, ruby red, almost like candy, super clean malt and yeast profile, simple, straight up, fresh hop scent, not huge, but certainly there
T - hop flavour is a little more dynamic than the aroma, ripe, juicy fruit, tropical, mango, bitter grapefruit, firm bitterness, malt is there only to provide balance, lingering hop flavour and bitterness
M - med carbonation really brings out the creaminess, although the body is light enough to not weigh it down, bitterness is nice and dry in the finish, no astringency, alcohol tickles the back of the throat
D - an insanely drinkable IPA, and more than hoppy enough to satisfy
This seems to be a completely different approach for Rogue, and I quite like it. Not so much of that caramel sweetness that they seem to overdo, this one is just a straight up vehicle for delivering the hops. Very well put together, the gravity is low enough to make it very drinkable, the hop flavour is superb and the bitterness is long and lingering. YUM!!!
