A - Poured from a "Yellow Snow" growler to a pint glass. A thick shiny cap rests atop a pale golden yellow body. Hazy brew with moderate lacing.
S - Aromas of chamomile, lemon honey tea and wet hay strike the nose amid a strong, bitter hop backbone. I get more biting floral hops than citrus. Smells rough and hostile.
T - Very bitter tasting brew, with bright, vibrant hop aggression. Mostly pine and floral hops with light citrus undertones hitting mid-palate. Decent graham cracker and pale malt foundation, but pretty weak overall... mostly just bitter hops.
Medium bodied brew and a bit hard to drink at times. Finish was almost too bitter and lingered far too long. Rough around the edges. Not terrible, but nothing special... might have to give this one another shot some other time. Never eaten any yellow snow... but maybe these characteristics really embody what yellow snow actually tastes like.
