22 oz dark brown bomber with a creative label. Poured into a standard pint glass.

A - murky with a cloudiness haze. Beer is a yellowish/golden color with a splash of Dirty orangish brown. Superb white color head with excellent lace that sticks nicely to the side of my glass.

S - citrusy aroma with a faint sweet caramel presence. Somewhat bready and yeasty. Whiffs of fruit esters throughout.

T - cracker like malt up front running into a more faint, but more sweet caramel malt. Hop bitterness is intense. Pine like hops seem to dominate any citrusy hop taste that creeps in from time to time. Good bite with this one. More of a dry bitter finish than anything else.

M - medium in body. Overly good carbonation. Enjoyable and sits nicely in the mouth. Fairly smooth IMO.

O - overall Yellow Snow IPA is a good west coast American IPA. Has loads of hop flavor. It is a beautiful beer sitting there dressed in it's wonderful color and look. While this isn't an IPA that has the 'it' factor to stand above and beyond all others, it's still a very good and well crafted American IPA.

Heard about this beer for a while, finally got a chance to try it. Pours a nice golden color, nice head to it. Typical hoppy aroma, a bit subdued even. Taste has a nice creamy mouthfeel, very malty upfront, the bitterness comes through on the back end and finish. A well balanced IPA, but really nothing sets it apart from the thousand others available. Cool to try and original bottle, but wouldn't seek it out again.

Taken from beer notebook, had at Irish Pub.

A- murky, cloudy and golden. Good foamy white head with awesome lacing down the glass.

S- citrus and floral hops, earthy, typical good IPA smell.

T- citrus hops dominate with a bready undertone. Finishes bitter.

M- goes down silky smooth, carbonation is well balanced.

O- A solid IPA, goes down pretty easy, bitterness seems to have a bit more bite than usual at the end. A good option though.

Poured into a pint glass.

3.0 A: Heavily hazed brownish yellow color. Two fingers of frothy/creamy off-white head. Much of the head fell quickly, while the last half finger stuck around a bit longer. Moderate amounts of nonuniform lacing.

3.5 S: Floral, earthy, and spicy hops abound. There's some yeastiness, but it doesn't manifest in much of a breadiness. Instead it's rather clean. Just a touch of neutral maltiness. Simple, but nice.

3.0 T: Earthy and mildly spicy hop flavor. Much more bready than the nose suggests and not nearly as clean from the yeastiness. Pretty much a standard IPA here with a moderate bitterness.

3.0 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. A bit chewy from the yeast. Otherwise, fine here.

3.0 D: Pretty much just a standard, run of the mill IPA. Average.

This beer arrived from the tap with a centimeter of foam above the copper colored brew. The aroma is a big dose of citrus and floral hops. Very little malt in the nose. This theme continues on the palate, however some malt does break through providing balance. The bitterness lingers long. Overall a very hop forward, but tasty, brew

West coast....serious hops...low malt profile. This one is a hop-centric, pine-laden, resin-full, west coast IPA. It's a straw colored, milky, yeast brew, with a serious head, lots of lace, and a lot of suspended yeast. The smell is all hops...earthy, herbal, citrus-peel smell. Bitter orange peel. The taste is similar. It's a solidly good flavor, full of hops and citrus, but little balance, and not much malt at all (maybe a tad in the back-tongue). The body has a firm presence. Good, but pigeonholed.

A - Pours a medium orange color and easily a three fingered billowing head, the biggest head I've seen come off an IPA. There's also a massive amount of carbonation churning in the glass.

S - Aroma is pretty faint with a light crackery malt, pine, and grapefruit.

T - Similar to the nose with light crackery caramel malt underneath followed by some pine bite and finishes with a hefty wack of grapefruit and light lemon bitterness that lingers on for several minutes. Overall, the flavor is very mellow.

M - Thin body and a little too watery for my liking, finishes a little dry, and prickly carbonation on the tongue.

O - It's O.K., I'm glad I had the opportunity to try this but wouldn't buy it again.

My buddy & fellow beer dork recommended this one to me. Not a whole lot in the way of aroma. The taste was straight grapefruit to me: one of the more bitter IPAs I've tasted in a while. I didn't sense much of a malt backbone in this one. If you like bitter & citrusy, this will probably appeal to you. I think I'll enjoy this one more in a month. Based on the brewer & my friend's take on it, I was a bit disappointed.

Thanks to my uncle Bob for hooking me up with a mixed sixer for Christmas. 12 ounce bottle. Pours leaving only a faint head, the beer is quite cloudy with apparently lots of yeast. Sort of a dark orange color. Aroma of piney, west coast hops, with a cookie-like malt sweetness in the balance. Interesting but a little too weak in the nose.

Light caramel malt is less sweet than the smell suggests. The hop bitterness is immense, and there is a nice bite overall. This isn't one of those resin-soaked, massively dry hopped type IPA's, it's just a nicely balanced, bitter little monster. The mouthfeel is nice, a medium body, with fairly sharp bubbles.

I had expected less from this IPA, so overall I was pleased. If they could add a little more aroma hop character, and clear up the appearance this one would rate much higher. Worth a try.
