Beautiful cloudy straw color with an inch of ivory white head on top. The aroma is packed with a citruisy pilsner yeast scent. Not a traditional mellow pilsner taste. The different use of hops give off a more spiced flavor(almost Belgium). Digging deeper one can taste notes of the pilsner malt and yeast used. Mouth feel is as expected, light with a medium- high carbonation.
This is a must try beer to understand.

(From a hollow-stemmed chalice)
Appearance: Rogue Brewing's Imperial Pilsner pours an foggy jacinthe with a finger of a pretty white head, which mostly disappears quickly except for the uneven cap and the gutsy lacing it leaves behind.
Scent: I smell tart apples aplenty here along with a light hoppy kick, some floral notes, and a good dose of the malts. There's also some honey in there.
Taste: The hops are much more prevalent on the tongue than they are in the nose, to the extent where they're quite dominant. Also tickling my tastebuds are honey and those apples. The beer tastes very fresh.
Mouthfeel: The body is light to medium, perhaps closer to what I'd call "light", and the carbonation is smooth but not shy.
Overall: 8.8%? Typo, surely? I could drink bottles of this stuff: it's so easy! Anyway, on looking at the other reviews, I suspect the beer has been altered somewhat in the last few years. Mine was a 2012 bottle. The beer was very simple indeed, but I enjoyed it.

Two finger head with nice lacing on a cloudy golden with mustard hues body. Nice lacing. Aroma is very earthy with wet sock hop, floral and grassy notes. The taste is fairly boozy and bitter overall. The grass and floral notes are very overwhelming at first and take time getting used too. This may have something to do with the age of this one. Light to medium bodied and moderate to high carbonation. This one is both interesting and a little tough to drink. It is certainly unique. This one may be very different as it is an older keg.
