I'm dissapointed in this beer... but I was able to get it half off because my grocery store was taking it off the shelves. So that was a plus.

Pours a hazy golden color with a creamy small white head that dissapears too fast with little lacing.

The aroma is too fruity. Like apricots and pinnaple... Not much hop character at all. Really light floral hops. Not much else but some bready grains.

The flavor is much of the same, very fruity (pinnaple) and not much alse but some floral hops and bready grains way in the background.

The mouthfeel was ok with a big medium body and a sweet pilsner malt finish.

It went down very well but I won't be buying any more of this one for sure.

It pours a rather typical clear straw-yellow, but gets a point for having a rather thick, fluffy white head. Aroma is strong and malty with a firm fruity overtone, mainly apple and lemon. Flavor is a bit bland and has an unpleasing metallic taste to it, but is still palatable. Texture is edgy and just a little tingly, nothing to write home about. This is the only Rogue beer I have ever tried that disappointed, but I will finish this bottle.

a-Was a very light yellow brown color, with hardly any head and slight opacity.
s-Fairly good smell that was sweet and limey.
t-Could hardly taste the alcohol, there was an overpowering lime taste that washed everything else out.
m/d-After the initial taste there is a slight sweetness that fades from the mouth rather quickly. Decent drinker, but there better options.

Two finger head with nice lacing on a cloudy golden with mustard hues body. Nice lacing. Aroma is very earthy with wet sock hop, floral and grassy notes. The taste is fairly boozy and bitter overall. The grass and floral notes are very overwhelming at first and take time getting used too. This may have something to do with the age of this one. Light to medium bodied and moderate to high carbonation. This one is both interesting and a little tough to drink. It is certainly unique. This one may be very different as it is an older keg.

A: Pours a clear yellow color. A one finger white head forms, and recedes in a minute. Light lace is left behind.
S: Some yeast, light hops, and sweet malt. Not much else. Overall kind of bland.
T: Grassy and floral hops. Some yeast as well. Sweet, almost honey like malt. Very simple, but enjoyable.
M/D: A light to medium body. A bit thin. Though crisp and smooth. Easy to drink considering the alcohol.

A decent beer for sure. Though not a lot of character, and overly simplistic for my tastes. You can do a lot worse, but nothing that really sticks out for me.

From a 22 oz bottle into a Chimay glass at Enoteca in Post Falls.
Thank you Russell

Beer is golden and slightly hazy with a coarse head.

Aroma is sweet biscuit and soft spice.

Taste is lightly sweet malt/biscuit with very soft spice from the hops. Bittering is well suited to the malt and alcohol.

Mouthfeel is full for a pilsner but fairly well suited for an imperial Pilsner

Drinkability is good. There are no unpleasant aftertastes. The high ABV is well hidden. Not a beer I would typically choose but I'm glad I had the opportunity to try it.

(From a hollow-stemmed chalice)

Appearance: Rogue Brewing's Imperial Pilsner pours an foggy jacinthe with a finger of a pretty white head, which mostly disappears quickly except for the uneven cap and the gutsy lacing it leaves behind.

Scent: I smell tart apples aplenty here along with a light hoppy kick, some floral notes, and a good dose of the malts. There's also some honey in there.

Taste: The hops are much more prevalent on the tongue than they are in the nose, to the extent where they're quite dominant. Also tickling my tastebuds are honey and those apples. The beer tastes very fresh.

Mouthfeel: The body is light to medium, perhaps closer to what I'd call "light", and the carbonation is smooth but not shy.

Overall: 8.8%? Typo, surely? I could drink bottles of this stuff: it's so easy! Anyway, on looking at the other reviews, I suspect the beer has been altered somewhat in the last few years. Mine was a 2012 bottle. The beer was very simple indeed, but I enjoyed it.

Had this on tap at The Stable. Nice golden color with a fair amount of head. This really had a yeasty and grainy smell to it yet the taste was crisp. Very breadlike. Nice body and almost no aftertaste, which is surprising for a high ABV beer. While not y favorite style this is pretty good.

On tap at brewers on the bay the other day.

This beer pours a slightly hazy gold color with pretty good head retention and lacing. I don't get a whole lot on the nose, just some biscuit and bread dough with a hint of honey. On the palate this beer is really pretty nice. It's very soft and smooth on the palate, with moderate sweetness and a considerable dose of hoppy bitterness on the finish. Alcohol is pretty well disguised, and drinkability was fairly high. I had no difficulty downing my 12 ounce chalice and could easily (and happily) gulped down another.

This was a very nice option on a beautiful day on the Oregon coast.
