sitting in the cellar for a few months now.. totally forgot about it actually..
rises to 2 fingers of head, retreats quickly, good to decent lacing, caramel towards orange clean hue, amply carbonated, nothing outstanding, nothing detracting.
soft citrus and pine, almost more of the malt profile is lurking here, caramel sweetness, very inviting, everything is blended and intertwined into a nice soft pillow, almost smells chewy.. diggin' it
slightly prickly carbonation, the smell matches the taste to the letter, what a balance! I immediately wanted more after the first swig, full bodied for the style but that is not a negative, mild hop bitterness rounds out the flavor, the bitterness is sharp but not bracing/over-powering, easy drinking and satisfying.
if this was available for a reasonable price in my market year round.. damn nice option for easy back yard/hang out drinking. Is this the best beer ever ? errr, certainly not but man this would be what my "bud" would/should be. Enough flavor, enough body, easy drinking, and just good. You can really taste the quality here, it may not wow you but it is just plain solid.

22oz bottle poured into a glass. It has a burnt orange color body with a 2" white creamy head, that hangs out for a lttle bit and leaves a sticky foam on the glass. The smell has a very nice hop aroma and some malt coming through also. The taste has a very bitter hop flavor with a malt backbone. The mouth is very smooth and leaves a bitter after taste on the tongue. Overall this beer is really good.

Served on-draught into an Oskar Blues pilsner glass at a restaurant in SoCal. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a three finger beige colour head of nice cream and thickness, and great retention. Colour is a vibrant copper. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.
Sm: Delightful floral hops, clean pale malts, and bright fruit. A pleasant aroma of mild strength.
T/Mf: Heavy floral and bittering hops. Accompanying naked bitterness is murky; decently hidden by the malty sweetness. Shockingly light on the palate and refreshing. Quite light on the palate. Fresh and refreshing. Very wet and smooth. Quite well executed.
Dr: Very drinkable and enjoyable. A tasty IPA from Rogue. I'd have it again - but only on-draught. Surprisingly solid stuff from Rogue; I remember it being worse from the bottle.
Serving type: on-tap
