Fresh Hop Ale - Grow your own.
Not exactly sure what this beer wants to be? Very malty upfront, sweet tart and fruit like. Hops are dialed almost non-existent. I just don't get the fresh hop smell or taste. Beer is rather fresh so don't see an issue there with QA.
No off tastes to this just don't see why this is called fresh hop ale. I am not expecting a hop bomb, but the label is rather mis-leading.
Overall: Quite disappointed with this one and a dammed shame I spent 11 bucks for a bomber of this.

22oz bottle poured into a glass. It has a burnt orange color body with a 2" white creamy head, that hangs out for a lttle bit and leaves a sticky foam on the glass. The smell has a very nice hop aroma and some malt coming through also. The taste has a very bitter hop flavor with a malt backbone. The mouth is very smooth and leaves a bitter after taste on the tongue. Overall this beer is really good.

Served on-draught into an Oskar Blues pilsner glass at a restaurant in SoCal. Reviewed from notes.
A: Pours a three finger beige colour head of nice cream and thickness, and great retention. Colour is a vibrant copper. No yeast particles are visible. No bubble show.
Sm: Delightful floral hops, clean pale malts, and bright fruit. A pleasant aroma of mild strength.
T/Mf: Heavy floral and bittering hops. Accompanying naked bitterness is murky; decently hidden by the malty sweetness. Shockingly light on the palate and refreshing. Quite light on the palate. Fresh and refreshing. Very wet and smooth. Quite well executed.
Dr: Very drinkable and enjoyable. A tasty IPA from Rogue. I'd have it again - but only on-draught. Surprisingly solid stuff from Rogue; I remember it being worse from the bottle.
Serving type: on-tap
