On tap at the Petrol Station in Houston, TX

A - Poured a brown color with a thin tan head with no lacing

S - Has a roasty nutty nose for the most part

T - Follows the nose with a roasted and nutty malt flavor

M - This beer has a thin watery body with light carbonation to it

O - I was very disappointed with this beer this is what you get when barrel aging doesn't work the barrel added nothing to this instead it hurt it don't bother with this if you see it save your money and buy something good

The appearance was a nice looking hazy amber to orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. There wasn’t any lacing. The smell had a nice blend of sweet honey to somewhat tart cherry. The taste was mainly sweet and somewhat tart carrying the cherry back into the flavor. Light tart cherry aftertaste leading into a slight bittersweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. There’s a nice carbonation about it. Overall, I say this was a pretty good Maibock I could have again. Recommend with some plain cheesecake.
