Ahh...After trudging my way through a sixer of Victory's Storm King Imperial Stout last week, I am infinitely refreshed by this brew. The look is par for the course, dark color ruby brown with a frothy chocolate milk colored head. Smell may be it's biggest setback from perfection, as it is a little sharp and almost sour at first, but it then comes around with some roasted espresso, and ultimately rounded out by a hint of milk chocolate. The taste is much more balanced than the nose, bringing a uniformed flavor as opposed to an army of notes that many other big, dark imperials/doubles enlist. But straightforward does not mean lacking in character or complexity, the Double Mocha Porter just knows what it wants to be. It tastes like a well made latte: there are some serious roasted coffee bean flavors smoothed out by an almost creamy malt base, and it is both bitter-sweet and dry-smooth.
This is a well crafted, completely self-aware brew. I could drink this all night and never be stunned by a single off flavor, but still be excited for the next sip.

A-dark brown black color with a decent tan head and some lacing
S-malty, coffee, hint of chocolate
T-dark roasted malt, coffee, minimal chocolate, some awkward bitterness
F-medium body with light to moderate carbonation, smooth and creamy
O-nothing special, flavor just seems a little off and unbalanced
