Got the 1 pint 10 fl. oz/ 750 ml bottle which is colored blue.
poured black, the way a good porter should
smelled like dark chocolate with coffee just as anticipated. the smell didn't express the taste as well as i thought it could.
taste was predominately bitter chocolate with a slight middle sweetness, very slight, this is a bitter porter. the coffee is faint, it's in the after taste slightly. the beer sweetens more as it warms, i think it resembles a porter more as it gets warmer. i prefer it as it warms up slightly because the flavors are really present thoughout the palat.
the mouthfeel has slight amount of carbination but rather smooth, but not as smooth as a stout would be.
this beer is very easy to drink, the 8% alcohol is well hidden in this beer, but it can be slightly felt in the throat in the after taste. but for a large bottled beer i found it easy to drink the bottle, but i probably would try to drink another one in the same setting because it is such a large beer.

A-dark brown black color with a decent tan head and some lacing
S-malty, coffee, hint of chocolate
T-dark roasted malt, coffee, minimal chocolate, some awkward bitterness
F-medium body with light to moderate carbonation, smooth and creamy
O-nothing special, flavor just seems a little off and unbalanced
Serving type: on-tap
