World Champion Stout
Northwest Harrington & Klages, Crystal 135-165 & Beeston Chocolate Malts; Cascade Hops, Rolled Oats & Roasted Barley, Free Range Coastal Water, & Top Fermenting Pacman Yeast. No Chemicals or Preservatives or Additives.
Appearance flat black body just the way I like it; micronized mocha head emasses beautifully and smoothly for about 2 inches at pour and settles back in a rocky formation to a level .5-incher relatively quickly; reasonable lace; knock off .5 for the late head
Smell burnt coffee; chocolate; underlying hop tinge; not as impactful as Id like 4
Taste prominent roast; moderate chocolate; I was waiting for the hops to tumble out of control but they never did; roast, coffee and hop carry for tasty aftertaste; pleasantly flavor loaded 4.5
Mouthfeel lush carbonation with a touch of a crisp tingle; only gets better during the sip; this is the feel target thus far for stouts, but of course theres more to sample
Drinkability the lack of a dry ending, the perfect carbonation and the great balance create a stunning stout
Heres a stout of epic proportions. Oh yes, I love this beer. Buy a few.
