650 ml bomber.
Pours an impossibly solid black with a short lived mocha-brown head.
Faint scent of roasted sweetness with some light hops, reminiscent of oatmeal raisin cookies.
Taste starts nicely burnt with some juicy bitterness, following into a sweet mocha and light espresso finish. Feels creamy, crisp and upbeat with dark chocolate swirls.
This is a nicely balanced stout that is lighter than I expected. Exciting to drink and very quaffable.
Give St. Ambroise's Oatmeal Stout a try if you like this and want to be bolder.
