Pours very dark brown/black, I can get no light thru this one. Great thick billowing fluffy brown head that sticks all over the glass like a curtain of lace and a nice thin head stays for a long while.
The aroma is actually almost like Trois Pistoles, in that spicy/mysterious/dark fruit kinda way, but with chocolate and roasted malts.
The taste is a roasted bitterness, perhaps espresso bitterness with hints of chocolate and caramel sweetness.
Nice creamy, pretty thick mouthfeel that coats the mouth well and slides down the back of my throat.
Great drinkability and at only 6.0% I could have plenty of these in a night....well done.
