Poured from 22oz bottle into pint glass.
Poured with a finger of a dark, creamy head that has excellent retention. The beer is very dark in color.
Very hoppy mixed with strong hints of chocolate malts with a strong presence of roastiness.
Hops come through strongly during the beginning and mid-taste followed at the end with a hint of malt and a dry aftertaste. The cascades come through very strongly in this beer and are slightly overpowering as the balance of the beer is focused on the hops and not so much the malts.
Light to Medium bodied with the right degree of carbonation. It is very smooth due to the oats used.
This beer is an easy beer to consume at only 6% and has good mouthfeel and excellent texture. The beer is almost like drinking a dark IPA.
