This stuff is very dark but not overly viscous. I like it. The head was big and fluffy, and it lasted very well. There isn't much lacing but it's still a good-looking beer.
The taste is very nice. I think the flavor defines what a stout should taste like. It's got hints of chocolate and coffee without having too much of anything. There's an appetizing taste of bitterness in the finish.
This is also one of the more drinkable proper stouts I've had. It goes down well without being short on flavor.
I'll have a tough time buying any other stout for at least a few weeks.
