look: 4.5 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.5 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

A: Very hazy dark copper body with a very thick lush off-white head. Light barely even makes it through the body. Leaves great lacing on the glass. It looks darker than most APAs, but the overall appearance is fantastic.

S: Tons of hop aroma. There's pine at first, then caramel scent peeps in, then more of that pine sap. The hop aroma is very rich and full in this beer. It doesn't smell like fresh hops from a bag, but there's a bunch of hop aroma.

T: Very good vlavors. There's a bit of grapefruit flavor and pine. It's pretty much what you expect from your standard APA. Lots of hop flavor in this. It leaves a lot of pine resin bitterness in the back and on the sides of the tongue. There is a bit of sweetness at the tip of the tongue but it quickly fades.

M: Smooth moutheel with moderately strong bitterness, just enough carbonation. Dry.

O: Overall I was highly impressed with this beer. I was on the fence with giving the taste a 4 or 3.5. I didn't feel that it was outstanding but it was still very impressive. I recommend that hop lovers give this one a shot because it is a wonderful experience.

BA says this comes out in the Summer, but I don't see any date any where. Well, so far so good from what I smelled and tasted. I'll proceed.

Into a pint glass.

A: ruddy orange to brown colored body with a one and a half fingered white foamy head that concaves a bit in the center and leaves some thick clingy lacing

S: caramel malts up front, some honey and pine and citrus coming in on the back end

T: mainly sweet through the strong caramel and honey notes, but the aftertaste is a combined orange/tangerine/caramel sweetness, sweet dry sticky finish

M: medium, tries to show a sessionable quality but somehow I seem to want to sip this more, carbonation runs kinda smooth for an APA, but still good

O: this just might really be a Summer beer as I can some refreshing aspects that seem to have thickened up as I don't get as many bitter hops as I was hoping for, however, I find it interesting that this held up to being not that bad. I wouldn't mind having this fresh.
