From notes 10/31/11: Pours a coppery orange with a strong finger of off-white somewhat lasting head. Aroma is pungent pine and herbal juniper backed by caramel. Taste is herbal juniper and citrus fronted with citrus taking the lead in the middle and the finish produces a pleasant herbal hop finish. juniper and citrus start with citrus middle and pleasant herbal, hop finish. Caramel malt base dances well with the hops. Very nice. Good but not excellent. Similar to Rouge's Juniper Ale (as it should be since it is) but with a much heavier finish. I believe I prefer the Juniper Ale over this.

Fruity Aroma, some berry and gin too. Apples, pear, oak, chardonnay. Golden-Light orange color. Taste us less pungent than aroma, but pleasant. About to have a dinner of mahi-mahi and Lima beans and i’m anticipating a good match. (Is that too close to ""silence of the lambs"" to be be creepy?) Very nice. A touch sour on the aftertaste, but a well crafted beer. Yea Rogue."

Huge off white head. Golden orange color.
Lots of berries and gin. Very pine needle like. Earthy and green. Light bitterness. Bready malts.
Very unique beer. Very surprised by this one.

L: Pours hazy gold under a quickly receding 3” light cream colored foam collar.
S: Big juniper aromas are initially detectable from 3 feet away. Also traces of fruit and spice, possible biscuit.
T: Fruit and spice initate the attack with peach and caramel notes, mild sweetness, traces of citrus, biscuit, followed by juniper and and then a moderate hop bitterness carries through a drying finish.
F: A medium high level of carbonation is very soft on the palate. Medium body.
O: The juniper works surprisingly well in the beer for a refreshing, flavorful drink.

I was real excited to try this but... my bottle was infected... so my rating is neutral.
