A- pours a deep dark brown color that boarders on black. Nice finger and a half of dark tan head with solid retention.
S- smells like chocolate icing, brownies and melted chocolate bar all wrapped into one. A hint of honey and cocoa powder comes out in the middle with a soft roast malt and malted milk ball on the finish.
T- big semi- sweet chocolate flavor with a chocolate icing like character. Cocoa powder and malted milk balls flesh out in the middle. Caramel and a soft roasted malt on the finish with a touch of mild bitterness and dark chocolate. Chocolate mess in a good way!
MF- silky slick mouthfeel with medium body. Softer than average carbonation.
D- good drinkability.
Overall a very good beer. They nailed the chocolate aspect. It comes off a little one dimensional however to reach the realm of greatness.
