750 ml bottle. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black, and has a couple inch tan head that stays around for a long time. There's also a good amount of lacing. The aroma is very nice, the brew smells mostly like milk chocolate and malted milk balls, along with some roasted malt and vanilla. It tastes like milk and bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and vanilla. Nice mix of both sweet and bitter chocolate flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and coating with moderate carbonation. Rogue does a great job with their stouts, and this one is no different. It's a good brew, definitely worth trying, especially if you've never had it before. $11.99 a bottle.

A: Milky brown head, very thin, no lacing, and black.

S: Chocolate, coffee, and hint of vanilla.

T: Coffee, chocolate, and harsh bitterness (very similar to dark chocolate)

M: Slightly thinner than I was expecting and moderate level of carbonation

O: I was expecting more of a chocolate flavor along with a creamy mouthful. It is worth a try and a great beer.

Drank at cellar temperature from a wine glass.

It appears black, and has a creamy and compact, two-finger light brown head.

This is the first beer I've had that smells like chocolate milk. It's like, dead-on chocolate milk. So that's cool... There might also be a little espresso. It smells good, but definitely not very multi-dimensional. Kinda "uni-dimensional."

It tastes like chocolate all right! A little bit bitter and earthy too. Delicious, but it's really not the most chocolaty stout I've had. (And I was kind of expecting it to be with a name like "DOUBLE CHOCOLATE stout." Oh well.) Kind of tart, and not nearly as roasty as other imperial stouts I've had.

The feel is pretty thick, with surprisingly high carbonation that feels like it should probably be toned down just a bit.

Very nice overall, but I think there are better imperial stouts out there.
