Bottle poured into my pint glass produced a large white head that dissipates quickly. On top of a clear pale yellow body

Not too much aromas here, light yeast and some malts as it warms

Nice crisp mouthfeel great lager taste with a nice bitter finish. It get's a little sweeter malt flavor as it warms

Being Saint Patty's day weekend I thought I grab on of these for my pizza today. I would defiantly grab another one the next time I grab a pizza. It was great and extremely drinkable and $5 bucks a bomber not a bad deal

650ml bomber poured into pint glass july7 2010

A clear golden yellow with a heavy amount of tiny bubbles feeding a two finger bone white head that has average retention and leaves a few patches of lace

S sweet grains with a little candy corn

T all I smell but with a tiny bit of apple and another fruity aspect that I can't quite place

M full for the color with decent length

D no flaws but nothing amazing, I could drink this again but beside other Rogue bottles for the same price it would not be my first choice

decent beer but like I said above it's a hard sell beside all the other Rogue bombers on the shelf

This is in reality a decent lager with a not so Euro hop profile.( Is it just me or does this taste like Full Sail Session). The beer is clean and slightly sweet on the finish. My problem is that it isn't the type of beer that Rogue does best. An ok take on a style that doesn't really excite

I was pretty surprised by this brew, given that it doesn't have great reviews. It pours a traditional amber color with a moderate head. There is very little smell, and the bit I could tease out simply smells of a generic lager. The taste is robust: it seems to encompass the whole mouth with a malty-nut taste. The malts are light in body and well-developed in the beer, meaning a large amount was used in the brew. There is a hop presence too, adding a bit of citrus to the mouthfeel. Very little bitterness though. I can't say much for how this stacks up against other Irish Styles, but it has definitely piqued my interest.

Presentation: 24oz brown pop top with nice painted label

Appearance: Nice bright dark golden beer with vibrant streaming carbonation and a big white fluffy cap with good retention.

Smell: Quite fruity up front, with nice light malt back. There's something incredibly familiar here, I just can't quite put my finger on what it is. At any rate, it's pleasant and interesting.

Taste: A mix of fruity and sweet grainy flavors up front; hop bitterness is delicate but definitely persent, and this beer finishes medium dry with just a touch of floral flavors and herbal hops. It's definitely interesting, and pretty drinkable, but...it doesn't really wow.

Mouthfeel: Light/medium bodied

Drinkability: Medium

Conclusion: Interesting beer with a decent amount of character...but...just doesn't quite deliver the goods.
