I poured this one into a shaker pint.

Apperance- The body is a standard yellow-gold with a few carbonation columns in the hazy body. The head made it to about a half-finger before becoming random globs of foam dispersed on the top of the beer.

Smell- There is some standard grassy hop scent that gives that "beer" smell to the nose. There is a little bit of herbalness, I'm not sure that it is juniper, but it is there.

Taste- The profile is pretty close to an adjunct. There is a lot of grassy hops, not very bitter. It tastes like something in the 30-40 IBU range.

The malt is a little bit like a wheat-cereal. The juniper herbal note is mainly in the mid-drink to the finish, but it does not last very long. The grassy hop and bitterness is what sticks around.

Mouth feel- The body is light to medium and a little fizzy. The carbonation may just be slightly over done. It is a little too slick giving it a slight watery character that I wish was not there.

Overall- To have juniper in the name, there should be noticeable amounts of juniper. Sure, there is a slight herbal quality, but it is not distinct, or nearly big enough.

What is left, is the base pale ale. And while this base is not bad, it really needs that juniper to make it one I would want to return to it again.

Poured into a 12oz Tumbler Glass

Appearance - Has a moderately hazy slightly dark colden color to it, with a little bit of carbonation bubbles popping up. Head pours at around a 1 finger width with an aggressive pour and has a alot of sticky lacing on the side, more so than I have seen in a while.

Smell - It's got a fairly sweet fruity smell to it along with a bready and malty scent. I'm also picking up some caramel and a slight piney hop smells in here too

Taste - Moderately fruity flavor to it, which I'm assuming is the juniper berries, along with some pretty hefty malty notes. I'm also picking up some slight bitter piney hop flavors in here too, giving it an almost grassy flavor. Overall, it's a pretty earthy tasting beer. Moderately dry aftertaste, consisting of that malty/grassy flavor.

Mouthfeel - Body is fairly light and the beer itself is pretty thin, and it's got a certain crisp & refeshing feel which I contribute to its ingredients and earthy makeup.

Overall - It's a alright beer, but it's really nothing too special even with juniper berries. It's refreshing, but that's all I can say of what is an otherwise average tasting beer

Appearance is murky, golden yellow with a thick white head that fades and sticky lacing.

Nose is a strong dose of caramel, with some floral. The juniper berries are also present, and there is some white-breadiness.

Taste is very dynamic and unique. The juniper, malts, and hops all blend in the front. There is some rye behind it. There is also some sour orange peel and sweet corn.

Mouthfeel is refreshing and mildly coating. Carbonation is medium-mild.

Overall, a unique brew that would be worth trying again next season.

A- Pale sunshiny yellow color. Very golden incandescent bottom, with a darker honey near the head. Light, straw colored head that left little lacing. This beer looked like a summery ginger ale mixed cocktail.

S- Nose immediately hit me with fresh honeycomb, pine, and lemon atop a pale malt backbone. I noticed as it warmed more of a citrus element to the hops and faint blackberries. Lots of dried, crusted honey.

T- Smooth, moderately earthy pale malt flavor with light grass and hay that meld with spicy fruit and honey. Finishes with a surprisingly crisp hop kick of pine, spruce, and mint; the spicy bitterness is an enjoyable balance to the flavor hops. Sweeter characters of light fruits, biscuits, and apricots shined even more as it warmed.

MF- Clean flavor profile with a sweet, slightly oily body. Surprising lingering hop activity on the tongue with an aftertaste of faint menthol and mint in the throat. Banana like wax texture pairs with a mild syrupy body.

O- A gentle, earthy, plant-like pale ale with some added fruity sweetness and spice. Still had body, mouthfeel was a bit odd, but this could be a great beer for an occasion or food pairing, or even to throw at someone who typically prefers wine or sugary cocktails. Maybe this could act as a gateway beer?

12oz bottle into tulip

A: a very pale hazy with a moderate head that has O.K. retention and lacing.

S: aroma is more that of an assertive american pale. good balance between the american hops as well as malts. not much of the juniper berries thus far. as it warms more juniper comes out, but still it is a little faint for my liking.

T: a crisp and menthol-ly hop flavor. obviously from both the hops are the juniper berries. a light malt body backs both. more of the juniper comes out as the beer warms.

M: moderate mouthfeel on a light/medium body. a bit too light.

D: not a bad tasting brew, but not really worth seeking in particular. more on the APA side of that and a herbed beer. like i stated above wouldnt hate more juniper on both the nose and the palate. drinkable for sure, but leaves me longing more.
