A: Head forms but is thin and recedes quickly. Translucent but not clear. A deep orange with hints of red, reminds me of the flesh of the blood-orange. Regal.

S: Pumpkin, clove, and cardamom are immediately noticeable. This is the perfect time of year for enjoying this. Carrot cake randomly came to mind. Also reminds me of the carrot-apple-spice-muffins I had recently.

T: Pumpkin with a touch of cinnamon. The cardamom is still present and I like that. Excellent spicy character. A soft perfume of spice, if you will. The distinctive note of cardamom is original and different, but not overpowering.

M: Slightly carbonated, a bit thin, yet smooooth. Its like an Oktoberfest mixed with pumpkin and spices. Very appropriate for a November day.

O: Again, this is like a spiced pumpkin Oktoberfest. I'm glad I picked this one up, a great fall time ale.

Wow. What a great way to start a fall beer session. This exceeds my expectations.

It pours a great light brown color. Clear, with just a bit of head turning to a light fizz. The aroma is first rate. Not too pumpkin pie (like a Pumpking, though I love those), yet just enough real pumpkin smell.

The taste similarly is real. Real ale (brown?) and real pumpkin, with other stuff, but not too much spice. A nice complex blend. A great refreshment.

The aftertaste is very pleasant. Just a little bite. No booze. This is a very good pumpkin ale. The bottle was a lot cooler than the photo - solid orange.

Personally think this pumpkin beer is underrated. Well balanced, not too sweet, pumpkin bread taste. Beautiful color, great long lasting head and good lacing when poured into a snifter. I just opened a bottle of the 2015 brew.

Poured into an imperial nonic a deep pumpkin orange with a billowing sticky one and a half finger slightly off white head atop.Aromas mainly of vanilla and roasted pumpkin, not overly spiced wich is good. Not sweet at all on the palate, one of the dryer pumpkin ales I have had.Roasted pumpkin, vanilla, light pumkin pie spice, and a almost earthy finish. This is a top notch pumpkin beer,it has the pumpkin flavor,a little spice, but a drying finish wich makes it very drinkable for the style.Well done by Rogue here.

Back in VA for work. At Yard House in Virginia Beach. Served in a pint glass from the tap.

Appearance: dark pumpkin color I'm growing accustomed to seeing in the type. No head.

Smell: Pretty typical for the type with pumpkin pie. Less spicy than say the 25th anniversary Lakefront.

Taste: to be blunt... Disappointing. Fizz covers up the flavor. Tastes like a seltzer water with pumpkin notes.

Mouthfeel: again, like seltzer water. Ugh.

Overall: pedestrian. Lacks a real pop to it. Watered down. Huge disappointment.

A- Deep ruby color, clear. One finger head and no lacing.
S- Nothing artificial about it. Like drinking cold leftover pumpkin pie.
T- Spiciness, worthiness, and pumpkin pie all meld seamlessly. Not too strong or lite.
M- Medium high carbonation. Creamy.
D- Wow, a great pumpkin beer from the brewers at Rogue!

750 ml bottle. Pours hazy ruby amber with a big rocky off white head that retains well and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is very nice pumpkin pie spices - a good blend of cinnamon, nutmeg and all spice.

The flavor is a bit subdued compared to the nose - some sweet caramel malts with very light spices (a little cinnamon) with a grassy bitter finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, an OK pumpkin beer.

Very good pumpkin/spice/beer blend.
Pumpkin and Spices do not hide in this beer, really nice combo and rather fresh tasting. I cant wait for 2016

This ale is quite a delicious pumpkin ale. It pours like a slice of pumpkin goodness deep orange and clear with a half inch of head. The aroma brings all the warmth of fall. The spices come through marvelously in the smell. The taste begins with the sweet flavor of the pumpkin then moves to all those wonderful notes of spice. The mouthfell is exactly what a pumpkin ale, the flavor of the pumpkin as well as the spices linger for a appropriate amount of time. If you come across this regardless of the venue, give it a taste.

The beer pours a dark brown color with an off-white head. The aroma is full of cinnamon and a bit of nutmeg. I also get some other assorted spice notes, as well as some toffee. The flavor is more of the same. I get some pumpkin and caramel/toffee notes, as well as a good bit of spice. I get a bit of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove notes, with a hint of allspice mixed in. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
