A - Pours a hzey dark honey with 2 finger tan head. Very good retention

S - Smell like a pumpkin pie! Lots of nutmeg aroma along with some pumpkin, caramel, and cinnamon

T - MMM....very good fall beer. Not as sweet or pumpkin like as I thought it would be. Great use of hops to balance the sweetness with just enough pumpkin and nutmeg flavors to make it work. Hops are really present at first and then the beer fades to the pumpkin pie taste!

M - A light bodied beer. Slick feelnig in the mouth. Smooth for the most part with a little alcohol burn

O - A great fall beer! I enjoyed theu se of hops in this pumpkin beer. Most dont have quite as much kick. It seemed to balance the sweetness of the pumpkin quite nicely. A very unique flavored pumpkin ale

One of my fav breweries. Have not had one that I don't love. They are now popping up all over the place. I would love to see more on tap but as of now have only seen Dead guy. I figured living in Chicago I might see more but no dice! If any one has any info on the bars that carry it around my town let me know!!

A well balanced and surprisingly tasty beer, despite the horrific orange bottle!

Pours a clear and dark amber colour with an off-white head that disappears pretty quickly. A satisfying mouthfeel, neither too oily nor light. Malt-forward aroma has both roasted and caramelized malt profile, with a nice spiciness in the background that's not limited solely to "pumpkin pie". The flavour also balances the roasted malts with a fruit sweetness in the body, and the spices ride the bittering hops in the finish. Nice mix of cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice and even some black pepper.

More complicated than expected and a real pleasure - will look for it again.

22oz bottle
I poured this into a glass, it has dark cooper color body with a small white head. The aroma has a nice spice of cinnamon and nutmeg. The taste is strong of spices and has pumpkin on the back of the tongu. The mouthfeel is smooth and overall this is a great pumpkin beer.
