Loved my robust sample of this on-tap libation in Newport Oregon. Light, smooth and crisp, with a strong finish and a credible linger on the tongue. Slightly hoppy and a bit of a smooth bite. Looking forward to finding this in bottles on the east coast. This is one I would have loved to import home!

Had on-tap at the brewery in Newport, OR.
Pours a deep golden colour, with a solid haze and firm body. Head is enormous, solid and intense, leaving a white puff right to the bottom, and excellent, persistent lace. Looks great.
Aroma comes forward with big green hops, and a slightly grassy grain hue. It has an echo of lemon to it, and a hint of apricot which gives it a deeper sweetness. Nice stuff.
Light entry on the palate, before we get fragrant notes of rose and incense on the mid. Finish is balanced enough, with some grassy hop characters coming through. It's mild enough until the aftertaste, where oily hop residue makes sure we realise what this hop's about.
Feel is smooth and quite light, but with a fine, refined sparkle.
Overall, this is really good stuff. It has some really interesting nuances to what is ultimately quite a pleasant drinkable beer.
