Poured from a big yellow spray painted bottle into a Gaffel stange glass.
A real nice looking Kolsch. Classic brassy lemon yellow, slow rising carbonation and various sized bubbles. Head is big shampoo white with lots of staying power and bubble bath foam like retention. Soapy head and collar left. Great looking Kolsch.
Nose is bready malts. Mild fruity wine like crispness and a good floral sense. Honey and sweetness angle is not noticeable but this has got the Kolsch angle down solidly nose wise.
Palate first sip give a nice light bready malt, but finally some of the honey sweetness gives a good depth and coating of the palate. Crisp muted effervescent slightly but more thicker on the finish but not syrupy. Honey finishes clean on the aftertaste with a good floral note to match, a much thicker Kolsch than usual, and even a bit of bitter bite to it.
A real neat take on a Kolsch and I like this subtle honey kick and mouthcoating in the end. A must try treat for Kolsch fans.

Pours an effervescent gold with 2 fingers of pearl white head. Nice lacing & head retention, stays effervescent throughout
S: Honeysuckle, grassyness, floral hops,
T: Follows the nose, grainy notes as well up front, along with dryness & a touch of pear. Pears, honey, floral hops & some white grapes as this warms. Finishes crisp, fruity & refreshing
MF: Light/medium bodied, crisp carbonation
Drinks very easy, a very nice example of the style. Easily one the better beers Rogues has put out in a while

750 ml bottle into signature pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours moderately hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of lemon, pear, apple, bread, cracker, honey, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance of hop, malt, and yeast notes; with good strength. Spot on aromas. Taste of lemon, pear, apple, bread, cracker, floral, grass, honey, pepper, toast, and yeast earthiness. Light earthy pepper bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of light fruits, bread, cracker, toast, floral, grass, pepper, honey, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice balance of malt, hop, and yeast flavors; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent kolsch style. All around great balance and robustness of malt, hop, and yeast flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. Really enjoyed this one.
