A - Clear copper colour which has dropped bright. Good tight, creamy white head with excellent retention and nice lacing.
S - Disappointing. I'm not getting a lot of aroma or complexity just a small amount of fading grassy hops.
T - Good up front hop flavour. Its a somewhat spicy and fruity southern hop flavour. A reasonable amount of lingering bitterness. Decent malt backbone to hold up against the hops.
M - Creamy and smooth with some body to it. Medium body and below average carbonation.
D - Not bad. This is a drinkable beer but the lingering bitterness is not entirely appreciated here.

I'm glad to make an annual pilgrimage to the Wig & Pen, because there's always something exceptional.
Last visit was the old Wobbly Boot; this time a hop god of an ale.
a) Creamy head, haze free, dark honey / pale bronze
s) ooooh strong, strong hops.... like the smell of my fingers after harvesting my own. Green, pungeant, indulgent. Good malty base, providing (some) balance to the herbals.
f) Superb, fruity, spicy, citrus rind, allspice, peach. There must be a mixed bag of hop varieties in this.... almost over the top
m) Hand-drawn, so a nice cellar-temp. Not too bitter, as the flavour & aroma were the focus in this hopping-schedule. Great length.
d) Marvelous ale, perhaps one of the best hand-drawn I've had (comparable with Redoak's Real English Ale, but with less "muesli" notes).
