Until recently, this location didn't have much besides a walk-in cooler filled with macros and an occassional craft beer (Great Lakes, Spaten, etc.). Giant Eagle has now teamed up with Winking Lizard and is selling many of the beers on the Lizard's World Tour. Many of the offerings can be found at other stores in town, but there are a few beers (Lefthand brews, Rodenbach 6-packs, Lion Stout, etc.) that I have yet to see in Akron. The prices vary, with some being more and some less (Old Rasputin for $6.99) expensive than elsewhere in town. Service was unimpressive. I spent at least seven minutes in the beer section and didn't see a single employee. Perhaps I will reconsider my scoring after future visits, but for now this will get a low grade. All of the stock was fresh, but being as they just started carrying craft beer recently, I don't know if this says much. The selection isn't fantastic, but you may find some beers that aren't available elsewhere in Akron or find some prices that are cheaper than you are used to paying, so check it out.

This place has a very nice selection of beer compared to most places in the area and many I have yet to see anywhere else.

It would be nice to see some singles or mix your own 6 but I saw no signs encouraging this.

I was wondering around the beer section for probably close to 20 minutes without seeing a trace of an employee. I was actually looking for something specific and couldn't find anyone to help me so I'd have to say the service was horrible.

All said and done this is a great spot if you know what your looking for and don't need anyones help(because you probably wont get it).
