Great selection and if you are patient and wait for the right person to help you out, you will find some very knowledgeable assistance. Had a few breweries I had not been able to find at other stores in the Columbus area, in particular Three Floyds but in very limited supply that turns over quickly. Definitely on my list of regular beer shopping stops.

LOVE this place! First, their beer selection is excellent, especially given the tiny size of the store. If it comes in a bottle or a can, is available in Ohio and they don't have it, they'll get it for you. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable and will help you make an informed decision. They recently installed taps (2? 3?) for growlers, and usually have Ohio beers. The absolute best thing about it is the weekly tasting Thursday and Friday nights. There's always a theme - a specific brewery or style of beer. It's a great way to try things you wouldn't normally buy without the investment in a six-pack or even a pint!

Blacklick wine and spirits has a nice selection of craft beers. I live only a mile away and have frequented many times. Just recently realized that there was actually a walk in cooler. Occasionally can find a hidden gem in there. I have found beer here that is nowhere else on the east side including Anderson's. Just recently seems to be getting shipments of floyds. Any Ohio beer you want, this place pretty much has. Owner is helpful and will walk around with you giving suggestions. The guys behind the counter are knowledgable and will tell you if a beer you are buying is not worth the money. It's my kind of place!

PRICE GOUGING- I started coming to this place because they were close to work and alerted me when they received shipments of Great Lakes Xmas Ale. The selection was ok, but I pretty much stopped in out of convenience. Three weeks ago I was charged $14 for a 6-pack of the Xmas Ale, which is a little more than I typically would pay for a 6-pack but since it was seasonal I thought of it as a gift to myself. Three weeks later I get a notice that they received their final shipment and I stopped in and was charged $16 for the same 6-pack. I know the beer is in high demand, but this is bad business. They are not the only place in Columbus that sells the Xmas Ale so please go elsewhere!!!

I was visiting my sister and her husband out in Pickerington and they recommended this place for our beer run. First off, they are not big into the craft beer scene. The most adventurous they get is Newcastle and maybe Oberon in the summer. Not that there's anything wrong with those beers, just...anyway I stopped in here on my way to there house. The store itself is pretty nice, lots of wine and lots of liquor. Too bad I don't drink the hard stuff. I was told hello when I walked in but thats pretty much all I heard from anyone until I checked out. Their selection was ok but just did not wow me. I'm in Columbus for 2 wks and I've been to stores with much better selection. It's not that they have a small selection, just nothing that wowed me. Would probably stop back in when visiting again for that sixer of Newcastle or Oberon.

Convenient location off of 270 from the airport.
Great first impression, with a $.50 per sample wine tasting goin on when I was there (FRIG the tastings for both wine and beer are a regular occurrence). There was an employee dedicated to the $.50 per sample wine tasting that was going on when I was there on 11-13-10. The .'sampling room' is decorated very nicely with faux stone, giving the impression of a completely separate space from the rest of the store.
I would estimate that they are about 40% wine, 25% beer and 35% liquor. Despite that, they still had a decent selection including Founders, DFH, The Bruery and all other readily breweries in Ohio.
They also had a very solid selection of Belgians and DFH/Bruery vintage beers.

I'm in Columbus on business and sought this place out based on previous reviews. It's east of the airport a few miles but very convenient from 270.
I was absolutely floored by the selection, especially the number of aged beers. Being from Florida, I sought midwest and northeast breweries, which were represented well.
Lots of great scores including: New Holland Dragons Milk Oak Aged (12 and 22oz!), DFH Buff and a 2002 Unibroue Quelqe Choise.
Everyone was friendly and actually pretty knowledgable about beer, even if a little heavy on the promotion of IPA's.

This place is a little bit of a drive for me. Thats what has kept me from visiting until the other day.
Its at the end of a small shopping plaza off of the right side of Broad street. The sign is big and easy to see. This is a good thing because many shops in Columbus are very hard to spot if you dont know exactly where they are.
When I first walked in I was surprised at how nice it was in there. Off to the left there is a wine cellar style room made of rocks and fine wood shelving all filled with wines. There is a small bar there with wines set out for guests to sample.
At first all you are greeted with is wine. The shop is probably 60% wine and 20% beer 20% spirits. The beer is mostly 6 packs kept in a big long cooler. Only about one door in the cooler and the inside of the walk in is for domestics, the rest is craft.
I was pleasantly surprised with a few of the beers I found there. They still have HopSlam (about 3 cases!), 21 Amendment, all the typical Bell's, Founder's, Lots of Elevator (stuff I didnt know was being bottled).
Outside of the cooler there are a few shelves. Some bombers and singles. There was a 4 pack and 3 singles of KBS just sitting out in plain view! It seems like this shop might get overlooked when it comes to those highly prized beers we get in Columbus. The other shelf had beers that were marked down really cheap, they must have been sitting a while.
The last shelf is the best one. Its very tall and is filled with all their Belgian and German selections. The typical (and not so typical) selections from Unibroue are among others like St Bernardus.
At the end of the counter there was also some beer set out for tasting. This time it was Rouge Mocha Porter.
Behind the counter, spanning the whole length of the establishment are their spirits. It looked like there was some high end stuff.
The only employees I saw were just young guys who seem to just be working there as a clerk for an after school job. I didnt ask any questions but I felt like they would not be as knowledgeable as the folks at other area shops.
This is a very clean and well kept place. I think I will be headed back for more HopSlam and Ill keep this place in mind when the next rarity come through Columbus.
