Landed a bottle of this special rhubarb edition at Julio's. Split with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a clear light copper hue with a thin white head and light lacing.
S - Aromas of brett upon brett upon brett. Light sweetness and malts but this is mostly brett.
T - Taste is just about all brett. Super light rhubarb tart notes but for the most part this is a glass of brett, it's pleasant but not really rhubarb beer, bitter finish. Vegetative.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, sharp.
O - Overall this was a bit underwhelming, well no, very underwhelming. Almost all brett and hardly any rhubarb.

Thanks to rudzud for another share.
Very nice fluffy foamy head with tons lacing, soapy foamy lacing, nice retention too, slight hazy orange red color.
Nose is lots of funky Brett, nice funk horse blanket, light tart fruit generic fruit and little sour rhubarb like, an earthy almost mushroomy. Little sweet candy malt.
Taste brings lots more Brett, funky horse blanket but not super funky just lots of Brett, bready malt and yeast character, light tart rhubarb but not a lot, little sweet candy malt. Light stone fruit and juicy fruity. Finish is semi sweet, little sticky, flemmy, mild Brett and funk.
Mouth is med bod with decent carb, little sticky.
Overall nice Brett, but not much else, little on the sweet side, not a really super funky beer either just some Brett characters, and really lacking on the rhubarb unfortunately.

another underrated mikkeller beer here, maybe its just me, but i cant get enough of this guys beers, they all offer something just not available from other brewers. i think this score is way low, considering the series on the whole, and what the rhubarb clearly adds to this. its haze and thick and heady, but only a little pink. not as vibrantly colored as expected. the nose is really tart, thin almost acrid acidity in there, with the belgian side of the wild we love from the base beer. brett all over the shop too. the flavor has a good mix of the multiple rhubarb elements. i definitely get the leafy green almost spinach tasting tops, while the tart celery textured stems are there of course as well. its a nice addition to the brett, making it puckery without the bacteria normally present in sourer beers. carbonation is awesome, but the body seems almost thin compared to the others for whatever reason. it also gets just a little weird in the belly, like too much fresh raw juice, and a bottle to share was about the right dose. i cant help but admire and respect these beers, what a cool series, i hope more come out!
