Pours pale yellow, hazy with a white frothy head.
Aroma has lemon, malt, peach, hay, hops.
Taste is more hoppy than the aroma, hints of tropical fruits, some malt sweetness. Can definitely taste it's a session IPA.

A 330ml bottle with a BB of June 2017. Purchased a while back from the Brewdog webshop.

A: Poured into a tulip. Bottle conditioned. A hazy orange-amber hue with floating sediment and good carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before settling as a persistent surface layer. Slight lacing.

S: Aroma of fruity hops with hints of apricot, peach, stone fruits, orange, light citrus, faint melon, earthy yeast and subtle caramel malt. Not overwhelming but nice.

T: Tastes of mild fruity hops and yeast with hints of apricot, peach, light citrus, grass, earthy yeast and restrained caramel malt. A subdued, dry bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with soft carbonation and a fairly thin body. Some yeast on the palate. Aftertaste of earthy yeast and subtle fruity hop notes.

O: Decent but not outstanding. Looks great, while the aroma and flavour are a pleasant blend of fruity hop notes backed up by dry yeast. So-so body; could be more substantial. The only problem is I'm not sure how old this bottle is and whether that has contributed to 'hop fade'. OK but could be better.

From a 33 cl can at Mikkeller's ramen restaurant in Copenhagen. The can had a new date on it, so this beer isn't retired. Also, I think it is better than the ratings on BA - perhaps the new batch is an improvement?

330ml bottle - sigh, another dumbed-down IPA? Or can Mikkeller work some sort of magic with this inane 'style'?

This beer pours a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with a near-teeming tower of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat creamy off-white head, which leaves some crooked webbed lace around the glass as it slowly melts away.

It smells of gritty and grainy pale malt, some muddled tropical fruitiness, further domestic citrus, a hint of earthy yeastiness, wet chalk, and a tame leafy and piney green hop bitterness. The taste is some crackery graininess, pithy orange and lemon/lime zest, still hard to parse tropical fruit, a chalky flintiness, ethereal yeasty notes, and more understated leafy, weedy, and earthy hoppiness.

The bubbles are fairly strong in their assertive and probing frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and mostly smooth, just a bit of citrus pith seemingly scratching at my palate. It finishes off-dry, with a nice mixed and matched fruitiness predominating.

Overall, this is one of the better 'session IPAs' that I've yet come across - the Citra varietal surely brings the hop goodies, and the mouthfeel isn't as thin or watery as the norm. At any rate, a refreshing, if uninspiring offering (and at least it isn't another bloody sour brew).

some of the hoppy mikkeller stuff that has been showing up around various markets in the country lately has been less than fully amazing. this dude can make nearly 20% imperial stout in barrels with truffle mushrooms for heavens sake, we know he ought to be able to pull of a session single hopped beer right? this just isnt there in terms of the quaity and uniqueness we expect from this brewery. its light and easy drinking, and there is no doubt that citra is the hop, but its hopelessly mellow, a little too subdued in the aroma and not as dramatic as it should be, yet overly bitter and confounded by this being a little yeasty. not sure on freshness, its clear and lovely in the glass, but the aroma is muted for a citra focused brew, and the flavor is a tad generic for a mikkeller offering. do not get me wrong, this is summery and well made and quite satisfying, but i always expect the world from these beers and am let down when they arent the best on the table. this is good not great again, wondering about the hoppy stuff lately, its been a tad underwhelming across the board. not worth six bucks a single or whatever i paid...

Pours a cloudy apricot colour. Smells tropical fruits, citrus, mango, and dry. Tastes much like it smells, crisp, light, peach notes, citrus, tangerine, and the tastes aren't heavy nor do they linger.

A 330ml bottle with a best before date of 4th June 2017 and poured into a Spiegelau IPA glass.

Appearance: It poured a hazy golden orange with a big puffy three finger white head with great retention and left lots of nice lacing.

Aroma: Great tropical Citra aromas of mango and peach with a hint of citrus orange and grapefruit.

Taste: Much like the aroma with tropical mango and some light citrus orange. But the flavours don’t stick around for long and only hang around for a short time.

Mouthfeel: Dry, medium to light bodied with moderate prickly carbonation.

Overall: This was a pretty good Session IPA that drank extremely easy. Flavours were nice but didn’t last long though.
