11.2 oz bottle
A: Hazy copper body, with some floaties, under a huge (way too big) white head. Great retention and lace save an otherwise angering pour.
S: Hoppy, pine with grapefruit and a bit of orange. Sweet, caramel malt background. Very fresh smelling. Incredible balance between the hops and malt.
T: Aggressively hoppy. Hops hit from the get go. Malt offers a hint of sweetness up front, followed by the grapefruit and mostly pine hop, hint of pepper then a pretty big bitterness. Bitterness, although not bad, may be just a tad too big for this beer.
M/D: Medium body, very smooth, carbonation much less then I thought it would be. Good drinkability. Solid beer.

Rating from notes. Consumed February 2014. "This is clearly past its prime as it drinks like a hoppy red ale with some (likely unintentional) tartness. Not a bad quaff but not what I expected for an IPA. Meh."

A 330ml can with a best before date of 7th November 2017. Poured into a Lost Abbey teku glass.
Appearance: It was a dark copper amber colour with a two finger off white head that had good retention and left nice lacing.
Aroma: Pineapple and candied orange sweetness with hints of caramel, berries, pine and grapefruit.
Taste: Sweet malt, light caramel, pine, grass and herbal with hints of bitter citrus and mixed berries.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Overall: This was pretty good, but the malts seemed to take charge when it was supposed to showcase a single hop, which was a bit disappointing. However I did feel that this was the best of the four Single Hop Series that I tried.

This the best ale I've had from the single hop series so far.
L - Straw to amber with an enormous white head
S - Pineapple, peppercorn, grass
T - Big on the pineapple, guava, earthy bitterness, herbal presence. Pine, citrus. Quite complex for one hop. Nice malt balance
M - medium carbonation, juicy mouthfeel
O - A quite enjoyable IPA

L- Cloudy apricot color. Good head and pretty good lacing.
S- Fruity, bready, malty
T- Great bitterness, long pepper finish, good overall IPA flavor. Very classic.
F- Great mouthfeel, full, rich, right on the money as far as this category.
O- A great IPA, could use more complexity but I guess that's why you add more than one hop!

Copper kettle amber color. Light haze. Excellent starting head that settles to a fine layer of bubbles. It leaves some spots and streaks on the glass.
Fresh, floral hop nose. Light pale malt base. Relatively nondescript.
Starts with a touch of earthiness and toasted barley malt. Dry, no sweetness. The simcoe hop comes through in the swallow in a mild way. The aftertaste is long lasting and black pepper-like in its bitterness. Above average body with good carbonation. All in all, this is a good but hardly an unusual IPA.

appearance is a clear orange golden with a nice white head.
malts, pine, grass, light citrus zest on the nose. overall pretty muted.
taste is earthy hops and a substaintial malt sweetness, kind of gets in the way of some of the hints I got on the nose.
