A: Deep, dark jet black color with an absolutely gargantuan chocolate colored head. When the head finally settles down to about a 1/2 inch of thick cream, there's some nice lacing on the glass. This is RIS-like in appearance, a great looking stout.
S: Roasted malt with a black coffee presence. Some very bittersweet, dark chocolate is present. It's heavy on roast, though.
T&M: Coffee isn't as central in the flavor as most other coffee/breakfast stouts. It's got the chewiness and body of an oatmeal stout (thanks to the oats...), black roastiness, espresso flavors, and bittersweet chocolate, smoked malt, and some anise/licorice. Body is lighter than your typical uber-stout, but it still works well.
D: Not as coffee centric--it's got the complexity of a bigger stout without the body. Too expensive to be worth purchasing often, but it's still a nice treat.
