P: Perfectly pitch black body with dark brown esspresso frothy head.
S: Smoked and roasted malts, sweet oats, molasses, smells of great cold moch espresso.
T/M: Taste follows the nose with rustic smokey wood, roasted malts, heavy, and bittersweet chocolate. Sourdough sneaks around in the background followed by plums and grainy oats. Thick and velvety with a perfect touch of carbonation. Finishes rough, dry and effervescent with lingering nodes of smoked wood and unrippened persimmons.
O: Excellent sipper that really brings together a great mix of smoke, roast and sweet encompassed by delicious coffee. I would love to enjoy this with a stack of pancakes. Very impressed.

A- Pours pitch black and rather thick for a non-imperial stout. Small, half a finger head form and is medium tan in color. Head sticks around quite a while and laces tremendously.
S- Tons of dark, bitter coffee roasts here. This is pretty one dimensional, with the only dimension being the strong coffee.
T- Big, bitter, strong coffee right off the bat. I cannot overstate the level of dark coffee bitterness in this flavor, as it almost borderlines on hop bitterness. Moves a little towards burnt and smokey malts towards the middle of the drink. The end is just the same as the beginning, with big bitter coffee flavors, although the coffee bitterness weakens a little through the course of the drink, but not much at all.
M- This beer is rather thin and light on the tongue for the very heavy flavor profile it has to support. The combination of a thinner liquid, a fairly high level of carbonation, and a heavy flavor profile makes for a moderately drinkable beer, with the heavy coffee slowing you down.
Overall, if you like dark, strong, and bitter coffee, this beer is for you. Light in body for the coffee lover who wants to pound it, this beer is really strong in coffee flavor, and quite bitter too.
