Pours a cloudy, dark amber coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity, caramel malt and resinous, citrus hops, with notes of grapefruit and pine. Taste is a great balance of biscuity, caramel malt and bitter, resinous, fruity, slightly floral and herbal/spicy hops, with citrus and lighter tropical notes of grapefruit, tangerine and pineapple, as well as quite a bit of pine coming through. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grapefruit, pine and herbal accents lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

This makes for a very nice East Coast IPA with a good balance of bitter, resinous, slightly floral hops and solid malt backbone, which provides a little sweetness here, while finishing with a good, not too extreme bitterness. I'm always happy to come across a nice old-school IPA among the sea of NEIPAs and this one, while being just a tad too sweet and floral for my personal taste, is still a very enjoyable example of the style that is quite resinous, which I can always dig.

A: Pours a very lightly hazy medium to dark copper in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate ruby red + burnt orange colored highlights. The beer has a three finger pillowy sudsy foamy very light beige head that slowly reduces to a large patch of medium thick film (covering about 70% of the surface) surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit pith, pine, tropical/mango, herbal, and spicy hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + caramel malts with a hint of caramel sweetness.

T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + caramel malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of citrus/grapefruit pith, pine, tropical/mango, herbal, and spicy hops which imparts a moderate amount of lingering bitterness.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Initially slightly crisp.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a really nice combination of hop flavors + aromas with a solid enough malt backbone. A classic West Coast style IPA and really enjoyable - I could easily have a couple of these.

Can dated 12/7/17. Pours a cloudy amber color with a thick foamy head. There is a bite too much carbonation because it foam came out when I opened the can. Head retention and lacing are both excellent. Slight citrus aroma with some honey, maybe caramel and a piney resin. Nice smooth taste. There is some citrus, honey, caramel and bitter piney resin. Medium bodied with moderate to heavy carbonation.

Bought it bottled at the local bar.
Look: dark amber and wood, feeble foam disappearing in couple of minutes
Smell: pleasant honey and flowers
Taste: very bitter with flowerish notes.
Feel: light carbonation and oily structure.
Overall: unfortunately, this is not my style. Nose is way better than mouth.
