Great darker color for a flowery smelling IPA. Poured with a nice amount of head that hangs onto the glass slightly. A little heavy in the mouth but not too much. Has a pretty good taste/flavor. Lingers a little longer than I would like and has a heavy alcohol feel. IMO this is an average IPA at best.

A - Ruby hue with a nice fluffy off-white head. Good retention and lacing.

S - Citrus, hops and a bit of alcohol. Nothing amazing here.

T - Hop bitterness engulfed in a semi-syrupy composition. Likely coming from the caramel malts. Nothing crazy going on, just some acute simplicity.

M - Medium body with fair carbonation.

O - Kind of a plain IPA, expected more from Mikkeller. I can say the BrewDog beers were just plain better than all in this series I have had. I do not think I will ever purchase another beer under this name. There are just too many great beers that I would be giving the middle finger for another taste something that is, frankly, mediocre.

The pour is amber in color with a white head. The nose is fairly malty/malt forward. Lots of caramel and toffee with some mild citrus and pine, maybe some brown sugar. The flavor is also on the sweet side as well. Caramel and toffee for the most part. Some citrus peel, pine, and light grass hop notes. Only a mild bitterness.

This is the last of the Mikkeller's I had on Mikkeller IPA night.

Appearance: A dark fairly opaque ruby orange hue with a big frothy off-white head, good retention, and good lacing.

Smell: Subtle citrus smell, a fair amount of light hops, a touch of booze, and a fair amount of aromatic hops. Pretty much the same rating I gave to I beat you IPA.

Taste: Some hops bitterness, a slight syrup presence. A touch of floral notes and caramel. Very simple and subtle.

Mouthfeel: Quite syrupy. A medium body with decent carbonation.

Drinkability: Honestly this was like a slight downgrade from the I beat you IPA.

On tap at When Pigs Fly. In a tulip the beer was a hazy copper color with a small tan head. There was a lot of gauzy lace.

Aroma mostly citrus. Some caramel malt.

Lots of grapefruit, a little bit of pine which I didn't appreciate in the aroma. Sweet biscuity taste.

A big hoppy beer, very enjoyable.

Poured into a tulip at When Pigs Fly. This pours a hazy copper color with a cap of white head.

Citrus grassy hops with hints of toffee sweetness in the background. The pallet has a a nice orange citrus flavor with a grassy bitter finish. Nice malt backbone here giving a bit of toffee sweetness.

The body is medium with good carbonation. Overall this one is solid. Enjoyable with a nice balance.
