The pour is amber in color with a white head. The nose is fairly malty/malt forward. Lots of caramel and toffee with some mild citrus and pine, maybe some brown sugar. The flavor is also on the sweet side as well. Caramel and toffee for the most part. Some citrus peel, pine, and light grass hop notes. Only a mild bitterness.

This is the last of the Mikkeller's I had on Mikkeller IPA night.

Appearance: A dark fairly opaque ruby orange hue with a big frothy off-white head, good retention, and good lacing.

Smell: Subtle citrus smell, a fair amount of light hops, a touch of booze, and a fair amount of aromatic hops. Pretty much the same rating I gave to I beat you IPA.

Taste: Some hops bitterness, a slight syrup presence. A touch of floral notes and caramel. Very simple and subtle.

Mouthfeel: Quite syrupy. A medium body with decent carbonation.

Drinkability: Honestly this was like a slight downgrade from the I beat you IPA.

On tap at When Pigs Fly. In a tulip the beer was a hazy copper color with a small tan head. There was a lot of gauzy lace.

Aroma mostly citrus. Some caramel malt.

Lots of grapefruit, a little bit of pine which I didn't appreciate in the aroma. Sweet biscuity taste.

A big hoppy beer, very enjoyable.

Poured into a tulip at When Pigs Fly. This pours a hazy copper color with a cap of white head.

Citrus grassy hops with hints of toffee sweetness in the background. The pallet has a a nice orange citrus flavor with a grassy bitter finish. Nice malt backbone here giving a bit of toffee sweetness.

The body is medium with good carbonation. Overall this one is solid. Enjoyable with a nice balance.

A: The beer is very hazy copper in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a finger high dense and frothy beige head that has good retention properties and consistently covered the surface and left thick rings of lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: There are moderately strong hop aromas of citrus, pine resin, spices and tropical fruits in the nose.
T: Like the smell, the hop flavors really stand out—grapefruit and passionfruit in particular—and contribute a moderate amount of bitterness. There is some hints of caramel from the underlying malts.
M: It feels medium-bodied, crisp and prickly on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is a very flavorful IPA that’s quite balanced and easy to drink.

Pours out a really tan to dark amber color with lots of off-white creamy suds.. Some lacing and nice head retention.
Smell is very piney. More pine than citrus. No alcohol detected in the nose.
Taste is grapefruit rind and sugar malts. The sugar comes in heavy then the black bitterness wipes it out quickly.
Mouthfeel is just a tad sticky but the bitterness eventually cleans the palate leaving just a slight alcohol and bitter hop in the back of the throat.
Overall this is a really nice IPA. The only drawback is the price.
