12 oz bottle into tulip. no bottled on date, but a newer label than I have ever seen on this brew. I have to imagine this is relatively fresh.
A: pours a dark brown. head is tightly bubbled and has good retention. leaves a thick coat of lacing behind.
S: chocolate battles with coffee. lots of both. the aroma is severely rich and severely inviting. smells like a glass of dessert.
T: starts with tons of chocolate. really rich. boatloads of luscious chocolate combines with a lot of coffee. bitterness is really mild. finish is more of a dry dark chocolate. the coffee is certainly present, but such a unique coffee flavor that I am a bit unfamiliar with. extremely rich and fulfilling.
M: a very, very luscious carb. mouthfeel is rich, without being cloying or slick. full bodied.
D: really good stuff. wish I was a little more familiar with this coffee on it's own so I knew what to expect because this doesn't scream coffee to me. more of a decadent combination of roast, chocolate, and coffee all together. very unique flavor and brew. very expensive as well. I would recommend drinking this fresh as to not loose any coffee flavor or aroma.
