WOW! Picked up in Cincinnati at my favorite beer store this beer has had me wondering for quite some time. After reading the back of the bottle I'm not sure I'm ready for a beer this extreme, "...made from the droppings of weasel-like civet cats." I'm legitimately scared right now.
Poured into a snifter the jet black liquid quickly frothes to a dark tan head that fades back into the beer. So far so good.
The aroma of this beer does not immediately make me think civet cat dung so that's a good thing. The aroma is of very ripe tropical fruit, iced coffe with heavy cream and caramelized brown sugar, and a touch of coconut.
The first taste is explosive with espresso bitterness, light alcohol burn, nice aciditiy, and a twang that is difficult to place.
Mouthfeel is very round, full, and perfect for a coffee stout. Many times you try a coffee stout only to find you have a very thin beer (re: FBS). This stout has the perfect amount of coffee, alcohol bite/warmth, along with mouthfeel.
Drinkability is difficult to nail down. Personally I would never drink more than 1 of these nor could I. I will say that this 1 bottle will go down smoothly. I would say that coffee stouts in general are not to be sessioned therefore I will call this particular coffee stout highly drinkable.

A- Pours pitch black with a three finger mocha head that leaves intricate foamy lacing.
S-Well there is no shit smell. All jokes aside, roasted chocolate malts and bitter coffee goodness.
T- No shit taste. Rich chocolate backbone with a background coffee presence that is unmatched by similar styles. I can taste some sweetness from the oats as well, and the 10.9% abv is hidden well behind the complex accumulation of flavors.
M-The oats lend a creaminess that makes the mouthfeel very full bodied. Carbonation is subtle and spot on for this syle.
O- This is one of my favorite beers. I was hesitant when I heard "weasel poo coffee" from the liquor store sales associate. I was blown away by the complexity of the taste and smell on this brew. Happy as could be with this wonderful Mikkeller creation, a must try for curious stout drinkers.

On tap at The Pint in West Lafayette, IN.
So it's hip to drink feces now? Man, I'm always five years ahead of the curve.
This is a complicated and excellently brewed beer, but it could be fairly reviewed in two simple words: Perfectly Smooth. Just--wow. This is far and away the smoothest high-ABV coffee stout I've ever had. It's like a candied hybrid beverage that takes everything good about coffee and everything good about sweet stouts and has them melt into one another with no trace of anything offputting sneaking in.
