11.2 fl oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. New interesting artwork on the bottle, different than the one pictured. Exponentially excited to have landed a bottle of this, as it has been a major want of mine for quite a while now. Expectations are as high as can be.

Poured into a clear balloon snifter glass.

A - Pours a thick viscous opaque black oil body with just shy of two fingers of creamy luscious dark mocha colored head. A truly mouthwatering appearance.

S - Smell is of deep dark coffee bean roast, chocolate, hint of lactose, and the toasted malt / oatmeal. A fairly tame aroma, but hits it's mark. Just the slightest bit of alcohol fumes noticeable on the finish.

T - Wow. Phenomenally smooth, yet thick and creamy like a chocolate milkshake. Powdery cocoa, and a powerful bitter dark roasted coffee bean presence. Almost a slight bit of chocolate covered fruity tartness on the finish. Alcohol is expertly hidden.

M - Feel is thick and viscous. Smooth and creamy. Bitter powdery cocoa and coffee lingering on the palate.

Overall, a phenomenal beer, probably the best stout, if not the best beer from Mikkeller, that I've tried yet. Highly recommended to seek this beer out, or buy it if it is available to you. I would love to get my hands on some of the barrel aged variants of this beer to see how they fare.

Poured from a bottle into a snifter. Pours flat with no head. Like oil. Black, even when held up to the light.

Smells like baker's chocolate with coffee. There are hints of vanilla and oak, as well.

The taste. A perfect balance of chocolate and coffee with vanilla on the finish - but mostly chocolate. This is a grown up version of a perfect chocolate milkshake or float. As it warms, there is some plum that comes through, but I could be crazy.

The mouth is oily and smooth. Hardly any noticeable carbonation.

This is a great brew. It's seems a little heavy for an oatmeal stout, but it is also imperial. I don't notice the booze at all. The full flavor ranks with any BA stout. I missed the small print when I ordered six of these... I was thinking 22 oz bombers, but for $10 you only get a 330 ml bottle. I got my money's worth.

From my generous brother who picked this up in Denmark. Prost, John. This was served at 55degress into a half acre snifter.

pitch black body with a dark tan head of impressive depth, retention and lacing, especially for the ABV. Damn near perfect.

Smells of roasted, almost burnt, malts and coffee, with dark belgian cacao. The aroma isn't strong but rather is quite delicate. A little bit of fig/plus/raisin/pear smell.

Taste is of roasted malts and delicate chocolate with a good deal of refined cacao. Impressive chocolate on this beer. A great deal of bitterness, and a huge winner for those like me who like bitter hoppy stouts. The coffee is not as dominant a flavor as I expected but is quite delicate and perfect. The ABV is very well hidden.

Mouthfeel is as good as it gets. Carbonation is spot on - may be a little under carbonated for some people, but this is really perfect. Coats the tongue, sticky and syrupy, dry sticky finish, everything I want out of a stout.

I want to drink this over and over again. Easily the best non-barrel-aged coffee stout I've ever had. Still in the top 5 of best stouts I've ever had. Love this beer, get it if you can, it is a delicacy.
