Poured from pint bottle into my Deschutes tulip glass...

A - This one pours pretty much black, with a 1 finger dark chocolate head that quickly disipates.

S - Smells of rich chocolate and coffee. Very coffee forward, with hints of oatmeal in the background.

T/M - Wow, I thought the coffee was forward in the smell! It's more prevolent in the taste. Stick to your tongue coffee, with hints of tabacco and oatmeal. Great sticky mouthfeel, with low but good carbonation.

O - One of the best coffee stouts I've ever had. No alcohol heat at all, pretty viscous, and great aftertaste. Chalk this one up as another winner from Mikkeller!

From a 22 ounce bottle with no freshness date. Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.

A: Pitch black thick body with a thin brown thick creamy head which dissipates quickly, but a thick ring remains with some coating on the top.

S: Great smell of roasted coffee and slight dark chocolate hints and a real earthy overall smell to it. This would be perfect if it were just a tad stronger.

T: This tastes really good. slight dark chocolate hints throughout with a bitter dark chocolate syrup finish. The coffee flavor comes up with a very distinct roasty bitterness that I've never tasted before, this definitely isn't your average store bought coffee. There's this earthy taste throughout that matches the smell, definitely from the coffee used and it's very distinct, but pleasing. This is definitely very mellow though throughout.

M: Not as thick as I was expecting but definitely full-bodied, light carbonation.

O: This is a very drinkable beer with a distinct flavor and scent. I like this a lot and recommend it to any stout drinker. I'm giving this high marks for a reason.

A: Black. Forms a large mocha colored head that slowly reduces to a large ring around the edges.

S: Lots of roasted malts and coffee with a bit of earthy hops in the background.

T: There is a lot more coffee in the flavor than the aroma. More deeply roasted malts, to the point there is a little char, cocoa, chocolate, and some more faint hops. Full flavored and quite complex.

M: Heavy bodied with lower carbonation. Moderate charred malt bitterness.

O: A very goof Imperial Stout. Full of flavor and rather complex. This one is a sipper for sure, but it's a damn good one at that.

Been waiting a long time to try this one. This was fresh into the store, straight out of the box, into my fridge, and then into my glass. I love coffee stouts (and good coffee, in general), and while I’ve never had Kopi Luwak coffee, I’m really intrigued by it.

Poured into a New Belgium glass.

A: Good and black, like I like my coffee. No light penetration. A knuckle’s worth of latte colored head, but it disappears quick, leaving a light skim on top. Fantastic lacing.

S: Rich, creamy smell, though not like brewing a pot of coffee. It smells sweet, with caramel and chocolate. A little coffee floats in and out.

T: Fan-flipping-tastic. There’s a rich chocolate up front, and just a perfect amount of sweetness. Coffee bitterness rolls into the midrange, and it’s bold, and blends well with the sweetness. It ends on a sweet caramel note. I don’t get a single bit of alcohol. Very happy I bought two of these.

M: Smooth, velvety. Creamy. Rolls well around the tongue.

O: Was definitely not let down by this. I think I have to get my hands on some of this coffee now. Ante up.
