Cap is printed "8401203", no idea what that means.
Thanks to Julie & Ryan for this one!
Dark brownish amber with a rocky, dense head of white foam. Sticky and long lasting. Surface is full of irregular crags and peaks. When backlit it's a dark copper color.
Aroma is floral, spicy, and kind of faded.
Some vague citric notes, floral, caramel malt, earthy. Mellow bitterness, floral aftertaste. Medium body, ample carbonation. Dry finish, hollow empty taste.
The epitome of an old and faded IPA. Bummer. Sure would be cool if these were dated. I've avoided the majority of this series for that very reason.

11.2 fl oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. My first encounter with a brew from the Mikkeller Single Hop series, after having tried the amalgamation Mikkeller 19, which I loved. Acquired this bottle from the local beer store for $5.99. My bottle claims a 6.80% abv, rather than 6.90% as listed on BeerAdvocate. Keeping my expectations high; I have no idea what to expect from the warrior hops.
Poured into a clear balloon snifter glass.
A - Pours three big fingers of fluffy doughy beige colored head on top of a beautiful dark burnt sienna orange / ruby colored body with some nice dark yeast sediment floating to the bottom. Very nice fluffy rings of lacing.
S - Smell is earthy, twiggy, leafy, and herbal hop presence paired well with the bread loaves and a lightly funky / bretty yeast smell. Caramel malts, brown sugar, cream. A very nice smelling beer.
T - Taste is smooth and creamy. Earthy, twiggy, herbal hop notes again pair nicely with the bready malt profile. There is a dirty fallen leaf sweetness somewhere in there along with the herbal bitterness.
M - Feel is exceptionally smooth and creamy, with a dry leafy earthy finish. Hop bitterness lingers on the palate.
Overall, a nice introduction to the Mikkeller Single Hop series, and I look forward to trying the others. A nice way to showcase the different hop varieties, and I think it's safe to say that I enjoy warrior hops. A beer I would consider buying again, if it weren't for the outrageous price tag, but for now I'll stick with trying the rest of them.
Mikkeller Warrior ---4/5.
