330ml bottle bought online from Beermerchants.com

Poured a nice golden yellow colour. Slightly off white head poured pretty thick and rocky then faded to good one finger covering. Lots of carbonation rushes to the surface... decent sticky lacing...

Aroma - Lots of typical amarillo notes up front... spicy juicy fruits (grapefruits, limes, light lemons, apples), tropical hints (faint pineapple), floral and grassy, light talcum powder traces, quite peppery, slightly perfumed.

Taste - Wheaty and hoppy (again lots of amarillo to the fore), juicy fruits (grapefruits, limes, apples, grapes), floral and grassy, chalky traces, faint honey sweetness, some light metallic notes, citric hop bitterness, quite floral...

Mouthfeel - Pretty sharp and dry... light bodied... very, very refreshing and quaffable especially at only 3.9%

Overall - An excellent and unusual hopped up Wheat beer... a perfect summer brew. Definitely recommended...

330ml bottle, 2.8% ABV. Man, there sure is a bit of confusion 'round these parts as to the provenance of this particular brew.

This beer pours a clear, rather pale golden yellow colour, with one finger of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat bubbly dirty white head, which leaves some random sea spout lace around the glass as it duly subsides.

It smells of musty, mildly dank piney and herbal green hops, soft grainy pale malt, a heady hard water flintiness, further tart citrus rind notes, and a muddled edgy table pepper spiciness. The taste is mixed piney, herbal, and grassy forest flora esters, pithy orange and white grapefruit citrus, plain grainy, slightly crackery pale and wheat malt, and a continuing chalky stripe.

The carbonation is fairly pervasive, that frothiness honing a certain edge, the body medium-light in weight, and generally smooth, in the very sense of mineral water. It finishes just off-dry, the wheatiness of the malt finding a sudden further savoury spiciness, among the lingering hop bitterness.

Definitely a summer patio sessioner for the hopheads - laid-back, light, a tad zingy, and obviously hoppy. I know adding sunshine would be superfluous to the brewer's suggestion, but that's just how I (wish I could, right now) roll.

Draft pint at Northdown, quick review from notes.
This is the 2nd time i've had this, it's been awhile so I tried it again.

Color is a saturated yellow orange, somewhat hazy, trails of carbonation visible, compact but dense head of white foam. Lasting retention, concentric rings of lace form on the opposite side of the glass.

Aroma is herbal, hoppy but seemingly a little aged. Dried citrus peel, light yeast as it warms.

Firmly bitter, light bodied though it feels more substantial than a lager. Well hopped, dry and grassy herbals, finishes clean. Some light traces of wheat dance around also. Overall it would make an ok session beer, seems less fresh than the first time on tap a year or two ago.

On draft at The Blind Tiger, NYC.

Poured a medium straw hue with a one finger foamy white head. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a light wheat malt and a sharp piney hop.

The taste consisted of a grassy and herbal hop atop a light, yet spicy wheat malt.

The mouthfeel was light and well carbonated.

Overall a very tasty and very drinkable wheat ale.

'11 release

Huge fucking white head on this one. Hazy light yellow body. The head retention is so strong it lasted beyond the last sip.

Wheat and light fruity esters in the aroma. Lemon accented hopping.

Taste was like drinking hoppy seltzer. Low to medium bitterness. Some of that grainy wheat flavor I'd expect. Just not a lot going on but it would be a great beer to drink on a day that's hot as shit out and you are sweating like a herd of fat trekkies in line for William Shatner's autograph.

As a lawnmower beer, this was decent.

Served in a snifter at The Firkin.

Haven't seen this one around before, so I figured I'd jump on it. It pours a hazy pale amber-straw topped by a finger of white foam. The nose comprises grapefruit, orange zest, lemon peel, melon, light leek, and a backdrop of light caramel. The taste holds notes of orange rind (think licking the outside of an orange), lemon rind, grapefruit rind, wheat, light sourdough, flowers, minty light greens, and the clear, unmistakable flavor of hop pellet. The body is a hefty-ish light, with a light moderate carbonation and a very lightly grainy feel. Overall, a generally enjoyable little brew, something nice for the summer months, indeed.

On tap at Max's.

The beer pours a somewhat hazy, light gold color with decent head retention and lacing. Considering how low the abv. is, this beer offers up a pretty impressive aroma profile. I get lemon, flowers and light honey, which in combination are pretty appealing. The flavor profile replicates the nose... there is a bit of sweetness initially, but the light hoppy bittterness is sufficient to balance that quite nicely, leading to a fairly dry finish. Mouthfeel is pretty light, with something of a wheaty, bitter finish. Drinkability is pretty good, with the alcohol barely noticeable (as you might expect in a 3.9% abv. beer).

The bartender mentioned that this was a surprisingly flavorful beer for the alcohol, and I would agree. Considering the abv., this is a very solid beer that I wouldn't hesitate to order again. Perfect for the summer...

On tap at the Brick Store Pub. Pours a pale straw color, cloudy with a slight white head and excellent lacing. Smells very grainy and somewhat dusty. Light, but with a dose of citrus and some bitterness from hops. The taste is similar, with a bit more of a bite on the back end from the hops. My problem with very low alcohol beers like this is the incomplete fermentation leaving all that dusty grain flavor. Not as bad here as some, but still... Light and crisp overall with a soft finish. pleasant enough, but somewhat insubstantial.
