12 oz. bottle poured into a Duvel Tulip Glass. Comes out a little darker than most IPAs, more of a dark orange amber color. A little hazy, not completely filtered. Orange creamcicle colored head that came out huge with many lots of bubble sizes. The aggressive pour produced a big head, but not a heck of a lot of lacing.
The smell is really, really, did I mention really good. Double IPA's can be a little touchy when it comes to the smell. I always expect them to be strong one way or another, but not every brewery can balance it out. Very hoppy, mostly citrus and pine. A little bit of sweetness and just a hint of warmth from the alcohol.
Taste is good, very hoppy again. There is more of a citrus, than pine flavor in my opinion. A slight toffee sweetness and even a little smokey, and again a hint of alcohol. I really enjoyed it, could be balanced a little better, the flavor balance is heavily favored on the bitter end.
Certainly a full bodied beer. Strong, clean bitter finish, good carbonation level and a fairly high ABV not overly detectable in the mouthfeel. Drinkability is very good, solid brew of the style, I'd certainly drink it again.

Pours an amber with nice head and lacing.
Nose is real potent hops. I get mint, a slightly candied NZ hop quality. Red fruit hops. Mango.
Taste is similar, NZ-y hops over a grainy, slightly cereal-y background. A slightly chlorine-y malt presence.
Mouthfeel is substantial- chlorine-y, pine-y malt.
This is a really solid beer; not classically American style, it could easily pass as an American Strong Ale.
Main detraction is a slightly dry alcoholic finish. Other than that it's got a pretty unique/distinct profile but no doubt there's a lot of flavour.
