Voice Noted

Poured into a New Belgium snifter

A super cloudy brown orange and red. A quickly diminishing half finger head and a bit of lacing

S the smell is super malty and full of earth tones. The hops is there for sure but the malt is almost overwhelming. The hop that is there sure is pretty

T - so much different than the smell. A really sweet malted barley starts up front and than a boat load of citrus, pine and floral hops punches the malt in the groin grassy and loads of citrus

M - light, but not unpleasant And actually it is super nice. It's light and a really nice sweet and bitter hop hangs around

D - awesome. Hops, malt, smell and flavor. Just easy to drink and even easier to enjoy

Final thought - even at 7.99 price this beer is worth the price again and again

Pours an amber with nice head and lacing.

Nose is real potent hops. I get mint, a slightly candied NZ hop quality. Red fruit hops. Mango.

Taste is similar, NZ-y hops over a grainy, slightly cereal-y background. A slightly chlorine-y malt presence.

Mouthfeel is substantial- chlorine-y, pine-y malt.

This is a really solid beer; not classically American style, it could easily pass as an American Strong Ale.

Main detraction is a slightly dry alcoholic finish. Other than that it's got a pretty unique/distinct profile but no doubt there's a lot of flavour.
