Appears a dark, opaque black with a creamy tan head that slowly fades into a hearty cap of fluff. Tons of scattered lacing is left around the glass.
Smell is of obvious coffee notes with cut wood, pine, hop resin, And danky weed.
Taste is of the aromas with a bitter blast of coffee beans, and heavy hopping. Some sweetness that kicks into a bitter wood.
Mouthfeel is full bodied, creamy...yet the bitters of the hops and coffee are very overpowering. Nothing wrong with that on many levels but just not a preferred lingering mouthfeel that I enjoy.

Served in a shaker pint.
Finger of mocha-colored head that recedes quickly to a ring. Black body.
Huge coffee bean and dark roast aromas. Dark chocolate mingling with piney hops. Brown sugar. Complex.
Dark malts are roasty and chocolatey, some char backed up immediately with piney hops. Some nuttiness and brown sugar flavor builds in the finish as well.
Watery and more crisp on the tongue. Slight creaminess. Appropriate for the bitter tang of this beer. Very highly hopped.
Wonderful hoppy and dark malt scents that err on the sweet side. The palate mimics the nose closely, with a nice kiss of char and huge bite of bitterness. Would gladly have this hop forward offering again.

Dark brown, near black. Flaky brown sediment. Thick cinammon colored head. Excellent retention and plenty of stick to the glass.
Robust piney, citric hop aroma. Sweet molasses, light roast coffee and almonds in the background.
Aggressive espresso bean character right away. Baking chocolate. Roasted nuts. Sweet toffee and molasses underneath. Hop punch mid-drink with aggressive pine and grapefruit. Surprisingly well balanced. The hop strength compliments the roasted bitterness. Hops linger with a pungent, soapy aftertaste.
Lightly carbonated. Medium body. Very dry finish. Yeasty texture.
Interesting hybrid beer. A cross between a black IPA and a flavored oatmeal stout. Tons of complexity. The aftertaste threw me off a little but did not ruin the experience. Definitely a unique beer but I personally prefer beer geek breakfast.
