No bottle date.
A: Dark, golden color, thick head, sticky lacing.
S: Hops, hops, HOPS! cirtus and pine, mostly pine
T: Follows the nose. striking, bitter, and in your face.
M: dry, but sticky. lingering bitterness. I wonder what the actual IBU rating is on this one.
O: Interesting. Would buy again, and try it as fresh as possible. It was very hoppy, but I have had it on the shelf in the cellar for at least 4 months.

So what would 1000 Ibu's taste like, feel like, or smell like? It turns out that the end result is the ultimate resin taste and sticky-dry texture but the grassy and woody character adds woodsy rustic and charm.
Darker than the common IPA, its garnet hues lead straight into the beer's toffee and biscuity start. But that's all overcome when the dominance of hops set in quickly. Citrus, pine and fresh-cut grass swirl about the olfactories while those supporting caramel and maple sweetensses struggle to contend.
White sharp grapefruit ribs, tea-like herb, dried bitter orange, shaven sassafras, sawdust, and pecan all begin to sculpt the bulk of taste while a deep drying sensation sets in. Despite its "imperial status, the reckless abundance of hops bullies its way toward bitter dominance and chases all sweet balances away; much like standard American IPA
Diving unapologetically into a resiny, earthy, and stemmish finish- the way the beer closes is uncomfortably dry and spicily heated, but still tantalizingly peppery and controlled. Its unique taste is balanced like IPA but at elevated alcohol which shouldn't happen with such harmony, but yet it does.
Though the taste bogs down with its own seeping dankness, and rootish quality; this ale rivals the most bitter beers that have ever been tasted.
